adult yoga:
yoga 1
a great introduction to the world of vinyasa
yoga. yoga 1 is a beginners class which
incorporates the fundamentals of step-back
sun salutations, standing poses, hip-openers,
seated poses, twists, backbends, and basic
inversions. breathing exercises are explored
as students begin to link movement through
the postures with the inhale and exhale.
yoga 1 provides a nurturing environment
to help you gain flexibility, strength,
balance, and relaxation. a perfect class
for those new to yoga or anyone seeking
a refresher on the basics of alignment and
the vinyasa flow. |

yoga 2
a more vigorous class where a faster pace,
more intense and challenging poses, and
the addition of jump-backs and jump-forwards
combine to take your practice to the next
level. surya namaskar (sun salutations)
A and B, including chatarunga and upward-facing
dog, are practiced in yoga 2. strength-building
standing poses are combined in creative
vinyasa sequences. deeper backbends, more
complex balancing poses, and inversions
are practiced. a strong foundation in the
basics is encouraged.
