tranquil space bethesda is pleased to offer this
inspiring level 1 teacher training intensive.
the training is designed for students interested
in teaching beginning to intermediate students,
exploring vinyasa yoga or simply deepening their
own practice. our level 1 is an introductory yoga
teacher training that is a prerequisite for level
2 certification which is only offered at our dupont
studio. the level 1 is the first 33 hours
of our 200-hour yoga alliance approved certification.

columbus day weekend, october 9 to 12
friday: 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
saturday:
12:00 to 8:30 p.m.
sunday: 10:30
a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
monday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

*taking six classes within three weeks during
this training is also required & included

this introductory intensive will provide you
with a strong foundation to practice, observe,
and teach the following:
- warm-up vinyasa
- sun salutations; step backs & surya
namaskar A, B
- basic standing poses
- basic balancing poses
- simple backbends
- hip openers
- forward bends
- basic twists
- shoulderstand and plow
- savasana
this training also includes:
- discussion of modifications and sequencing
- how to begin and end a class
- how to use voice, languaging, hands-on
assisting
- introductory reading list
- practice teaching and assisting among
the group
- feedback and homework
- basic yoga and tranquil space teaching
philosophy
- pranayama
- practice and personal journal writing

- 6 yoga classes to be taken within a
designated time period
- introductory workshop on prenatal yoga

- 1 year minimum yoga practice.
- the discipline to be fully present at
all training sessions in order to develop the
skills necessary for teaching beginner to intermediate
students. 100% attendance is required.
- current level 2 student by tranquil space
bethesda standards, please ask a teacher if you are unsure. .
- completed application & deposit.
- the intention of deepening your own yoga
practice while assisting future students in doing
the same.

$595. applications require a $150 non-refundable
deposit; limited space available.
anyone not accepted into the program will have
the full amount refunded.

cancellation policy
before submitting an application to any tranquil
space teacher training program, we strongly encourage
applicants to consider the time and resource investments
required on the path to becoming a yoga teacher,
ensuring that the date(s) and time(s) chosen work
for the applicant.
the specified deposit is due with
the application, and is non-refundable. if accepted,
the balance is due by the date indicated in order
to hold one's spot. late fees may be applied to
late payments. if one is not accepted, the deposit
will be refunded.
if a student decides that s/he is
unable to complete the teacher training, the student
may write an email or letter to tranquil space
bethesda (info@tranquilspacebethesda.com;

with a request to withdraw from the program. requests
will not be considered until received in writing.
if approved, a pro-rated refund will be given based on the
time notification is received. a 100% refund of
the total paid will be given if the teacher training
level 1, 2 or 3 has not yet started less a $150
administrative fee.
no refunds are available after the start of teacher
training level 1 or 3. after these time periods,
no refunds will be given.
if teacher training level 1 has not yet begun and student decides to transfer registration to a different studio location and/or date, a $50 administrative fee will be charged. there are no exceptions
made to this policy.
we understand that emergencies and
other life situations do arise. making up hours
missed or completing the training during a subsequent
offering are options in the face of such events,
and will be extended by the creative director
on a case-by-case basis.
