pain. cheryl creates a safe, nurturing, welcoming
space for each client, and considers clients equal
partners in the healing process. cheryl’s
previous professional experience in the corporate
and nonprofit arenas, along with her ongoing experience
as a mother, help her to relate to and enjoy a
wide variety of clients, including adults, teens
and children. cheryl is a graduate of the potomac
massage training institute (PMTI) holds a ba from
princeton. she is a reiki II practioner and is
trained in the therapeutic use of hot stones.
cheryl is licensed in washington dc and maryland,
and is a member of the amta. she lives in bethesda
with her husband, two children, dog and cat, and
finds yoga practice a key part of her quest to
stay balanced and joyful.

september fortier is a second degree reiki practitioner
trained in the usui system of natural healing.
she has been working with this ancient technique
for several years and loves its ability to alleviate
the suffering of the mind and bring the emotions
back into balance. she hopes that more and more
people encounter and practice reiki and spread
its benefits to others.
stacy krogh
stacy offers therapeutic swedish and deep
tissue massage at tranquil space bethesda.
therapeutic massage involves the manipulation of
muscles and tendons in order to effect various
benefits, such as improved circulation, reduced
stress, improved joint flexibility and reduced
scar tissue formation, and is greatly enhanced
via thorough and thoughtful communication
between the therapist and the client. massage
can be a key element in maintaining balance in
our modern lives. stacy received her training at
the local potomac massage training institute,
has worked there as an assistant teacher in deep
tissue technique, and is nationally certified.
she looks forward to interacting with a wide

ngina shulman

ngina is a licensed acupuncturist who practices
traditional five-element acupuncture, a form of
healing that addresses the patients needs on the
body, mind, and spirit levels. she also is a
student of zero balancing, which is a fully
clothed acupressure type of bodywork that
incorporates eastern concepts of energy and
healing, to help align energy and physical
structure in the body. after receiving her
bachelor’s degree from dartmouth college in
hanover, new hampshire, ngina earned her master
of acupuncture degree from one of the country’s
preeminent schools for the healing arts, the tai
sophia institute in laurel, maryland. tai sophia
has affiliations with john hopkins and the
university of pennsylvania medical school. ngina
has also studied: massage, nutrition, anatomy
and physiology, is american red cross cpr
certified, and an acupuncture detoxification
specialist.
ngina looks forward to working with new patients
to come up with an individual plan of care to
help support them on a journey of wellness that
will encourage relaxation and enjoyment of life.
gina tauschek
gina is currently a teacher here at tranquil
space bethesda having completed her 200-hour teacher
training certification at tranquil space in 2006.
She is also is a registered teacher with yoga
alliance.
in october 2006 gina became a certified
thai yoga bodyworker through the lotus palm school
of thai yoga massage. this type of bodywork appealed
to her because it not only offers relaxation and
rejuvenation but has an enormous meditative quality
too it. she strives to offer all of these benefits
to each individual she sees.
anne thiel
anne is certified in thai yoga body work through
the widely recognized lotus palm school and is
excited to offer her services to tranquil space
clients. for her, thai yoga is a beautiful form
of body work that combines movement, stretching
and the palming of energy lines while the recipient
relaxes in yoga-like movements and poses. she
hopes that the bodywork will leave the recipients
feeling relaxed and refreshed and renewed and
with an increased awareness of their own energy.
anne is also currently enrolled in kripalu’s
school of ayurveda and is thrilled to offer ayurvedic
consultations coupled with thai yoga bodywork
sessions. the consulting session will consist
of determining your constitutional body type and
the following body work session will be designed
to balance this constitution; anne will also share
some of the ayurvedic insights that can help you
make lifestyle changes to find more balance and
harmony.
siobhan troy-carranza
siobhan discovered the benefits of raindrop therapy
from her acupuncturist. it was a wonderful experience
that left her relaxed and the heating sensation
of the oils was like nothing she had experienced
before. she loves to offer this treatment to aid
clients in releasing toxins from the body while
treating them to relaxing experience. she completed
a training by representatives of young living
essential oils whose founder created the raindrop
technique.
